High Level Passwords

Collections MAX has some features that have built in restricted access and requires special passwords to be created. In the Utilities / High level Passwords area of Collections MAX Administrator you will be able to create and revoke Administrator and Supervisor Passwords.

Note: The type of password you create (Administrator or Supervisor) is determined by the selection you make in the Password type box when creating the password like in the example below.  You need to click the Add button in Utilities / High level Passwords.

You have the option of having the system generate a hard to guess password key by clicking the Create Strong USB Key button.  You can also save a Supervisor password to a USB drive in a text file you specify so you do not disclose the password to the collector when Supervisor Access is needed.

Administrator Password: Used for the red Administrator Authorization Required password when logging into Collections MAX Administrator. Also used if an Administrator password is required in Collections MAX Collector / Pro (custom collector screen).

You would need to create an Administrator password to access the system when you see a prompt like below.  Administrator passwords are used when logging into Collections MAX Administrator and in some functions of Collections MAX Collector / Professional.

Supervisor Password: Used for Supervisor Authorization in Collections MAX Collector / Pro ONLY.

You would need to create an Supervisor password to access the system when you see a prompt like below.  Most status based changes that have restrictions use a Supervisor password, as well as all of the data fields that have a blue label around them.
